"…change in Cuba and Havana shouldn't be feared or opposed. It's a necessity. Cuba cannot exist as a souvenir shop frozen in time, meant to amuse us. It's a city to be lived in, one which should develop. It can't be a Caribbean version of Westworld, I find that approach offensive. Before the revolution, Havana was one of the most sophisticated, beautiful and cosmopolitan cities in the western hemisphere. It should become one again, and I'm sure it will." "Cuba. On the Brink" presents a photographic view of daily fragments from the most populated island-state in the Caribbean, a moment before its gates open following the easement of the US embargo.
